Runza Casserole

Runzas are a Nebraska staple. However, making the dough and cooking them the original way is time consuming. If you are craving Runzas, and don't have the time or energy to make the original recipe from scratch, here is a quick, easy, delicious way to get your fix!

1.5 pounds lean ground beef

1/2 yellow onion, chopped

1/2 head of cabbage, thinly chopped

salt and pepper

2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

1 Tsp Garlic Powder

1 cup shredded cheese *optional

2 pkg Crescent Roll Dough

Preheat oven to 350. Add hamburger and onion to deep skillet, and cook until browned. Add cabbage, salt, pepper, Worcestershire, and garlic powder. Stir together. Cover and cook for 15 minutes. Spray bottom of 9 x 13 pan with non-stick spray. Spread one package of dough onto bottom of pan. Add beef/cabbage mixture. Add cheese if desired. Top with another package of dough. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
